What is completely truly amazing to me is that people go online to create a six figure income or any income for that matter and believe none of the principles of building a real business matter.  Then they get demoralized and butterfly chase from one bad business option to the next chasing the next biggest greatest thing that is going to change everything.  Complete hogwash.   So let me ask you, what is your business plan to make money with Twitter?  What's that you say you don't have a business plan, well how is that working for you.  My guess is without a big picture business plan, there are no goals, daily targets, or even an overall general strategy that you are following.  It is much like throwing darts at the dart board with a blindfold on.

So to make money with Twitter starts with your business plan.

Begin with the end in mind, what is your objective with your strategy to make money with Twitter, is it to sell products? Build your list?  Recruit new people into your business?   Whatever your goal is it really starts with awareness who your target audience is to make money with Twitter.

STEP A:  Choosing your target audience

Your product or service, whom does it appeal to?  What is the age of your audience, who do you care about the most?  This is very critical in the Twitter world, because you are going to need to build trust and build relationships with your customers.  First things first figure out who your target audience is, stay at home mom's, folks that love to travel,  or kids that ride skateboards.  Get as specific as you can.  If you already have a business and clients then review your base and it should be pretty simple, if your just getting started take some time and brainstorm who your target is, this is the key first step to make money on Twitter and in your home based business.

Start with building your Twitter tribe to make money with Twitter 

Let's face the brutal truth, without a large list of Twitter followers your not going to make money with Twitter, your not going to make squat.  Blunt I know, but hey its the truth.  So how do you build your list huge and and relevant to your business.  Well good news, its not that difficult.  Let's talk some easy free strategies that work well.

1.  Keep your content fresh, this will attract people to you and make them want to follow you to read what you have to say.

2.  Send a link out with caution and do it sparingly.  My recommendation would be for every 6-8 tweets, one link, so it would look like, value, value, value, X 6 then  a tweet with a link. Make sense? 

3. When tweeting, remember the headline needs to be interesting.

When it came to growing my twitter tribe and pretty much everything else I do on Twitter I use an automation tool, I just ran out of time to do the things I needed to to build and manage my business and make money on Twitter.
